Deputy Club Manager Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a global company which offers services ranging from Sports facilities, Tele communications, Real estate development and Industrial projects is seeking to recruit Deputy Club Manager to join their dedicated team in Nairobi

Job summary; to ensure smooth running within the facility

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of the club in the absence of the Club Manager
  • Approves plans, budgets, staffing and general operating procedures for the Rooms, Housekeeping, Maintenance / Repair and Security Departments
  • Monitors the budget and directs the taking of corrective action as necessary to assure that budget goals are attained
  • Functions as an administrative link between departments
  • Monitors internal cost control procedures
  • Co-ordinates training programs
  • Assists the Club Manager in developing/implementing long-range and annual plans, operating reports, forecasts and budgets
  • Monitors safety conditions and employees’ conformance with safety procedures; updates emergency plans and procedures and assures that effective training for these programs is conducted in all departments
  • Maintains contact with members and helps assure maximum membership satisfaction
  • Receives, investigates and acts upon complaints from club members, guests and employees
  • Assures that the club’s preventive maintenance and energy management programs are in use.
  • Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout the club to assure that cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently attained.
  • Serves as an ad-hoc member of appropriate club committees
Qualifications and Skills:
  • University Degree in Hospitality.
  • 5 years of experience,3 of which will be as F&B Manager within a reputable Club, Hotel or Restaurant
  • MUST have a strong personality with excellent influencing skills.
  • Strong Food and Beverage Management skills.
  • Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management.
  • Human and Professional Resources.
  • Excellent Leadership Skills
