Job Title: Hotel Admin Porter / Cleaner

  • As an Experienced Hotel Admin Porter and Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel premises. Your experience, attention to detail, and dedication to providing exceptional service in the hotel and hospitality industry will contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and smooth operation of our establishment.

Cleaning and Housekeeping:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, and restrooms, to provide a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with hotel policies and waste management regulations.

Porter Services:

  • Assist guests with luggage handling, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience.
  • Deliver items, such as extra bedding, towels, and amenities, to guest rooms upon request.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas for luggage and other guest belongings.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as distributing mail, maintaining records, and managing inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities.
  • Coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor to prioritize cleaning tasks and address any specific guest requests or requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and maintenance reports.

Health and Safety:

  • Follow established health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues within the hotel premises to the appropriate department.
  • Comply with hotel policies and procedures related to security, emergency procedures, and guest confidentiality.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any issues, provide updates, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Support a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A Diploma, HND or Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in hotel housekeeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of hotel premises.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems is an asset.
