AID Village Clinics is searching for dynamic results driven individuals to join our team and be based at the clinic. 

We offer competitive salaries and on-site housing is provided. 

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

1. Senior Physician

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for oversight of all inpatient and outpatient clinical diagnosis and care.
  • Responsible for assuming a teaching role in daily rounds on each individual hospitalized patient.
  • Responsible for compiling and delivering a weekly summary of mortality and morbidity to the Chicago office to be reviewed by the Board of Directors and consultant physicians.
  • This will be a full-time position and will be on one year contract terms.
Minimum qualifications required
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB) and MMed (Internal Medicine) degrees from a recognized University.
  • A certificate of specialist recognition.
  • Registered with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board with a valid practice license.
  • At least 5 years experience in a supervisory and/or teaching role.
2. Physician

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for diagnosing, prescribing appropriate treatments, and the general care of patients. Keeps up to date and accurate computerized records including drug monitoring and patient progress.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to other members of the patient care team as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with lab, nursing, and support staff as required.
  • Works closely with the other senior physicians in providing care to patients enrolled in our HIV/AIDS treatment program.
  • Follows all legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care, while maintaining quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Minimum qualification required
  • Should have an MB ChB or equivalent.
  • Registered with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board with a valid practice license.
  • Experience in a busy govemment or private medical institutions.
  • Experience in ARVs management is desirable.
3. Clinical Officer / Anesthetist

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure and organize anesthesia activities at the clinic.
  • Ensure the quality and safety of anesthesia activities.
  • Organize and oversee the Operating Room at the clinic.
  • Ensure safe and efficient storage and use of resources including equipments.
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting of medical activities in Operating Room.
  • Ensure adherence to the clinic’s established and approved clinical practice.
  • Will be expected to see patients on site as may be directed when anesthesia services are not required.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery from a recognized institution and a higher national diploma in anesthesia.
  • Must be registered with the clinical officer’s council with a current practicing license.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a busy hospital setup as an anesthetist.
4. Community Health Extension Worker

Responsibilities:
  • Perform health care delivery tasks including public health demonstrations, patient follow-up and other clinical services .
  • Keeping of complete and up-to-date patient and outreach activity records.
  • Liaise with other outreach team members to ensure desired outcome of preventive health intervention programs.
  • Undertake a rigorous field job; candidate will be required to be trained and licensed as a motorbike rider.
  • Must be able to speak Maa language.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery, nursing, laboratory technology, public health or related fields and must be registered and licensed by the relevant regulatory authority.
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience worldng with HIV/TB care and treatment programs a plus
5. Senior Mechanic
  • A strong background in all aspects of motor vehicle and motorcycle preventive maintenance is a must.
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant hands-on-experience in motor vehicle preventive maintenance, particularly with Toyota Hiluxes, Land Cruisers and Yamaha AG 200 motorcycles.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and be willing to work under pressure with flexibility in work scheduling.
  • An appropriate qualification in motor vehicle mechanics from a recognized institution.
