Station Manager

Summary
- The Filling
Station Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the filling station,
ensuring smooth and efficient functioning, customer satisfaction, and
adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee all
aspects of daily operations, including fuel dispensing, inventory
management, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance
with safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Monitor fuel
levels, orders, and deliveries to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Supervise fueling
operations, including the safe handling of fuel, and resolve any
operational issues promptly.
Customer
Service:
- Provide excellent
customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
- Address customer
inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Train and
supervise staff to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve
customer concerns effectively.
Staff
Management:
- Recruit, train,
and supervise filling station staff, including pump attendants, cashiers,
and maintenance personnel.
- Schedule shifts
and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Conduct
performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
Financial
Management:
- Monitor sales,
expenses, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to achieve
financial targets.
- Prepare and
manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Implement
cost-saving measures and optimize operational efficiency.
Regulatory
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance
with all applicable regulations, including health, safety, environmental,
and labor laws.
- Maintain accurate
records and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate
inspections and audits and address any compliance issues identified.
Qualifications
- High School
Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in business
management or related field is preferred.
- Must have 3-7
years experience.
- Previous
experience in a similar role, preferably in the petroleum industry or
retail management.
- Strong leadership
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a
diverse team.
- Excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of
safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to filling
station operations.
- Proficiency in
basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
- Flexibility to
work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Applicant must
reside or willing to relocate within lagos-ibadan expressway, academy
olomi, iwo road, challenge environs.
