Job Title: Filling Station Manager

Summary

  • The Filling Station Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the filling station, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
Operational Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including fuel dispensing, inventory management, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Monitor fuel levels, orders, and deliveries to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Supervise fueling operations, including the safe handling of fuel, and resolve any operational issues promptly.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train and supervise staff to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns effectively.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise filling station staff, including pump attendants, cashiers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to achieve financial targets.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and optimize operational efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including health, safety, environmental, and labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate inspections and audits and address any compliance issues identified.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in business management or related field is preferred.
  • Must have 3-7 years experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the petroleum industry or retail management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to filling station operations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Applicant must reside or willing to relocate within lagos-ibadan expressway, academy olomi, iwo road, challenge environs.
